7 Days Safari With Zanzibar

Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park -Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater – Zanzibar.

 

Day 1: Arrival At Kilimanjaro Internation Airport.

Arusha is a bustling city located at the foot of Mount Meru and is often considered the gateway to Tanzania’s famous national parks. After being picked up from Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be driven to your hotel in Arusha. The drive will take approximately one hour depending on traffic and your hotel’s location. Once you arrive at your hotel, you can take some time to relax and settle in. Arusha has many great restaurants and cafes, so you may want to explore the local cuisine or take a stroll around the city. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could also book a tour to explore the nearby attractions such as the Arusha National Park, or visit local Maasai villages. Otherwise, just take some time to rest and prepare for the exciting days ahead. Enjoy your stay in Arusha! 

Day 2: Full Game Drive In Lake Manyara National Park.

Great! It sounds like you’re planning a full-day game drive at Lake Manyara National Park, followed by an overnight stay in Karatu. This will give you more time to explore the park and take in all its beauty. After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha, and you will head to Lake Manyara National Park. You will have a packed lunch with you so that you can enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and maximize your game viewing time. During your game drive, you will have the opportunity to see a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and many species of birds. Keep an eye out for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, which are a unique sight to behold. After a full day of game viewing, you will depart from Lake Manyara National Park and drive to Karatu, a town located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will have dinner and spend the night at your hotel in Karatu, giving you a chance to rest and recharge for the next day’s adventures. Karatu is a beautiful town surrounded by rolling hills and farms, making it an excellent place to relax and take in Tanzania’s rural beauty. Day 3 & 4: Full Game Drive In Serengeti National Park

DAY 3: After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. You’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania, stopping at a Maasai village en route to learn about their culture and way of life. Once inside the park, you will embark on a game drive through the savannah plains, looking out for the Big Five and other wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and more. You’ll spend the night at a camp or lodge inside the park.

DAY 4: Today, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, which is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife. You will have the opportunity to observe predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs hunting and stalking their prey, as well as the iconic wildebeest migration if you visit during the right time of year. You’ll also have the chance to see large herds of elephants, buffalos, and other African wildlife. You’ll have a picnic lunch in the park and continue your game drive in the afternoon before returning to your camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day 5: Transfer Game Drive In Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast, you’ll depart from Serengeti National Park and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular natural wonders in Africa. On your way, you’ll drive through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying views of the Rift Valley and its stunning surroundings. You’ll have a game drive en route to the crater, and if you’re lucky, you might spot some wildlife such as zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles. You’ll stop for a packed lunch along the way and continue your drive to Karatu, a town located near the crater. You’ll arrive at your camp or lodge in Karatu in the late afternoon, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night. Karatu is a great base for exploring the Ngorongoro area and its many attractions.

 

Day 6 &7: Transfer To The Airport Then Fly To Zanzibar 

You’ll have two full days to enjoy Zanzibar and all it has to offer. You can choose from a variety of activities, including snorkeling or diving in the crystal-clear waters, exploring the island’s rich history and culture, or simply relaxing on the beach. You can visit Jozani Forest, a nature reserve that is home to the endangered red colobus monkey, or take a spice tour to learn about Zanzibar’s famous spices. On the last day, you’ll have some free time in the morning before transferring to the airport for your flight back home.

This itinerary offers a great balance between a safari adventure and a relaxing beach holiday in Zanzibar.
