Your journey begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a brief orientation, you’ll embark on a scenic drive through the beautiful highlands of northern Tanzania en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the crater rim, enjoy sweeping views before descending 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater—one of the most concentrated wildlife areas on earth.

Your half-day game drive within the crater will give you the chance to spot the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino, as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos at Lake Magadi, and much more. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch inside the crater surrounded by nature. Later in the afternoon, ascend to the crater rim and proceed to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay, all while soaking in the wild beauty of Tanzania.

Rise early for a transfer to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem of Tanzania with a dramatically different ecosystem. Known for its towering baobabs and its namesake river that flows year-round, Tarangire offers superb game viewing, especially in the dry season when thousands of animals gather at the water sources. Enjoy a morning game drive spotting elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and more, along with over 500 bird species that call the park home.

After the thrilling game drive, head back to Arusha where you’ll catch your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar, arriving in the evening with incredible memories of Tanzania’s wild heart.
